Narrative
In 1851 Charles was a Grocer at 25 High St, in Old Brentford, Middlesex.
CHARLES Hyatt Newbury, of Geelong, grocer, by his will dated March 28, 1893, and presented for probate by Messrs. Olverden and Fay, of Melbourne, solicitors, appointed Charles Hyatt Newbury and Samuel Newbury, executors. He bequeathed to his daughters, Caroline and Mary Jane, his business and personal effects,the business to be carried on by them, and during the currency thereof his daughter Mary Weeks shall receive Is. 6d. per week. Should the business or any portion of his property be sold, the proceeds are to be divided amongst his daughters Caroline Maria, and Mary Jane equally, the amount falling to the share of his daughter Maria to be placed on deposit, and she be allowed to draw 15s. per week from it. Testator died September 24, 1894, and the estate is sworn at £704 real and £329 personal; total, £1033.
