Narrative
A possible brother was James Waskett:
1851 census, James Waskett, ostler, aged 20 from Great Baddow, Essex.
Innkeeper of the Golden Fleece, 84 Duke Street, Chelmsford CM1 1JP
30 November 1841, 1 month in prison for Larceny.
England & Wales, Criminal Registers, 1791-1892
Some time between 1245 and 1274, in the "Hundred Rolls of Essex", possibly during the reign of King Edward 1, the Waskett family were granted land in the Essex Rodings. The name of Waskett seems to have stayed in the area right up until the mid 1800's. Around that time, a number of Waskett families moved towards the East End of London and got jobs on the railways. From there, the name Waskett does not spread far.
