Narrative
He lived in Poitiers. In 1699 ecuyer, Conseiller du Roi, Seigneur de la Vau-Guiot, forced to emigrate to escape from religious persecution, settling in London. On 28 April 1700 married 2nd Marie, daughter of Jacques Gousset, sometime minister of the reformed church at Poitiers.
On the death of his wife, Jean Francois fled from religious persecution in France for England in 1699, arriving with his children hidden on a fishing boat.
